ATGM "HORNET"

 Portable anti-tank guided missile system "Hornet" ("Шершень") developed for fire support during combat actions of Land Forces' units.

MAIN TASKS:

• Destruction of stationary and mobile up-to-date armored targets with combined, distributed or  solid armor including targets with reactive armor;
• Destruction of technically equipped pillboxes;
• Destruction of unarmored and lightly armored vehicles;
• Destruction of hung-up helicopters;
• Destruction of overwater and afloat targets.

FIELD CONDITIONS:

• Operating ambient temperature - from –20С to +50С;
• Low atmosphere pressure - 60 kPa (450 mm Hg);
• Relative air humidity - up to 98%;
• Direct optical visibility of the target:
  •    afield at height  up to 3000 m over sea level with any relief, soil and soil cover;
  •    under influence of active and passive radio interference and optical interference;
  •    under adverse weather conditions (fog, haze, heat haze, dust, wind with gusts up to 20 m/s).

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS:

• Maximum firing distance - 6000 m;
• Time of missile flight to maximum distance - 28 s;
• Missile calibre - 130 mm;
• Missile warhead type - dual; hollow charge;
• Armor penetration beyond explosive protection, not less than - 800 mm;
• Target tracking - via TV channel;
• Range of detection (identification) of the typical target using aiming TV channel in the day-time at meteorological range of visibility  up to 25 km, not less than - 6.5 km;
• Missile aiming at a target - on laser beam;
• Guided missile flying control - Automatic with tele-orientation on laser beam;
• System deployment time, no more than - 3 min;
• Time of system readiness for firing from the moment of voltage supply, no more than - 1 min;
• Combat crew - 3 persons.
